What does the AREFYEV STUDIO Mix Check analyze?
Mix Check analyzes measurable technical characteristics of your audio file, including integrated loudness, loudness range, RMS level, crest factor, true peak, sample peak, full-scale samples, stereo correlation, mono compatibility, channel balance and frequency balance.
Is Mix Check a mastering service?
No. Mix Check is an automated technical pre-mastering check. It provides measurable information about your audio file and helps identify technical points worth reviewing before mastering. The results do not replace critical listening or an engineer's assessment.
Are my uploaded audio files deleted after analysis?
Your file is used only to generate your Mix Check results. It is not used for AI training or marketing, and the uploaded file is deleted after processing.
What audio formats can I use with the Mix Analyzer?
Mix Check currently accepts WAV, MP3 and FLAC audio files up to 100 MB. The analysis is performed on the uploaded audio file itself rather than on the original DAW project.
What if Mix Check finds a critical technical problem?
Automated findings indicate technical points that may deserve further review, but they do not determine whether a mix is musically acceptable or suitable for mastering. If a critical issue is identified, the original mix or DAW project may be needed to make changes at the mixing stage.
What if I no longer have access to the original mix project?
If the original mix project is unavailable, AREFYEV STUDIO can assess the exported or already processed audio file and determine whether a remastering approach is appropriate. Existing processing cannot always be removed, so the possibilities depend on the condition of the supplied file.
Can I analyze a track that has already been mastered?
Yes. Mix Check can analyze an already processed or mastered audio file. However, the measurements should be interpreted in the context of the processing already present on the file. If further mastering work is required, AREFYEV STUDIO can evaluate the file for a possible remastering approach.
Does a high LUFS level or true peak mean my mix is bad?
No. Mix Check does not use loudness alone as a pass-or-fail measure. LUFS, true peak, dynamics, stereo information and frequency balance need to be interpreted in the context of the mix, its processing and the intended mastering process.
Mix Check provides technical measurements for reference. Automated analysis cannot evaluate artistic balance, arrangement, performance or musical intent.
