Evertone Project has released MORG ANALOGUE MASTER, a mastering plugin that combines two four-band equalizers with a dedicated saturation stage in a single processing chain. The design brings Class-A solid-state and passive tube EQ together with analog-style harmonic coloration for stereo-bus processing and mastering.
Rather than treating each stage as a separate emulation, Evertone Project describes MORG ANALOGUE MASTER as a model of an interconnected analog mastering chain. The processing stages are designed to interact, with the order of the two EQ sections available as a user-selectable option.
Two EQ Stages With Switchable Processing Order
MORG ANALOGUE MASTER features two four-band equalizers based on different circuit designs: a Class-A Solid EQ and a Passive Tube EQ. Each section offers its own approach to frequency shaping, allowing engineers to combine two distinct EQ characteristics within a single processing chain.
The order of the two EQ stages can be switched, changing how they interact and respond to the signal. This gives engineers more flexibility when shaping a mix or final master without having to build a separate chain from multiple plugins.
HEAT Saturation and Harmonic Modes
The plugin also includes a dedicated HEAT section for adding analog-style harmonic coloration. Evertone Project describes this stage as a way to introduce saturation associated with tube- and transformer-based processing.
HEAT offers three selectable modes: THD, BLUE, and RED. Each provides a different harmonic-processing option, although the developer has not published detailed explanations of the distortion characteristics associated with each mode.
Alongside the two EQ stages, the saturation section gives MORG ANALOGUE MASTER a range of applications in stereo-bus processing, tonal refinement, and mastering.
Version 1.1.1 and Availability
Evertone Project has also announced version 1.1.1, which includes minor corrections and an updated user interface. The update focuses on refinements rather than introducing new processing features.
MORG ANALOGUE MASTER is available through Plugin Boutique. Its listed regular price is $210, with a promotional price of $168 at the time of writing. Promotional pricing is subject to change.
By combining Class-A solid-state and passive tube EQ stages, switchable processing order, and three harmonic modes, MORG ANALOGUE MASTER brings several types of analog-style processing into one plugin. Its architecture may appeal to engineers who want to combine tonal shaping and saturation without assembling a chain of separate processors.
