Waves SSL EV2 Channel recreates the legendary SSL 4000E console and presents itself as a new vst plugin with authentic sound, analogue depth and richness of detail.
To faithfully simulate the desired sonic properties, Waves again rely on so-called Precision Analog Component Technology, with which this channel strip simulates component by component. The plug-in replicates the sound strip of the SSL 4000E analog console channels, from microphone and line preamps, through equalizers, filters, and ending with a dynamic section with a gate and compressor. This includes volume faders, meters, and stereo width controls.
The preamp section can add subtle or strong saturation to the signal, and the visual button provides THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) at your request. The plug-in has 600 presets that belong to famous names like Jacquir King, Stuart White, Joe Barresi, Dave Pensado or Lou Diaz.
Waves, like all their other new products, presented a discount for the purchase of SSL EV2 Channel – $ 29 (instead of the usual $ 249). But those users who own SSL 4000, Studio Classics, Pro Show or SD7 Pro Show Bundles will get it completely free of charge. You can also download and test SSL EV2 Channel at: Waves.
